1996-114-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL, IN EFFORT TO KEEP THE TAX RATE AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, RESOLUTION NO. 96-114 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, in an effort to keep the tax rate as low as possible, did budget in the 1996-1997 Budget funds to be generated from the sale of surplus property; and, WHEREAS, Lot 5-A, City Block 130 has no planned municipal use, either presently or in the foreseeable future, and it is deemed appropriate that said property be declared surplus and sold in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that Lot 5-A, City Block 130 be, and the same is hereby, declared to be surplus; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that said property should be sold in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and the Charter of the City of Paris.
