1996-099-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE ON THE 13TH DAY OF JUNE 1996 DIRECTED
RESOLUTION NO.
96-099
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 13th day of
June, 1996, direct the staff to proceed with the City of Paris Fire Station 1 Project, formerly
designated as the Central Fire Station Improvement Project, and make inquiries into property
located on N. Main Street for the same; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 11th day of
July, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-066, authorize and direct the City Attorney to condemn three
(3) parcels of property located in the 1400 block of N. Main Street to be used for said City of
Paris Fire Station 1 Project; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, on the 9th day of
September, 1996, in Resolution No. 96-097, determine that the method of construction of the
City of Paris Fire Station 1 be chosen after having received information from the City Engineer
concerning detailed plans, specifications and estimates for the completion of said project; and
WHEREAS, after having received such information from the City Engineer, it is deemed
appropriate by the City Council of the City of Paris that the construction of the City of Paris
Fire Station 1 be executed directly by the City Engineer's Department of the City of Paris in
conformity with detailed plans, specifications and estimates, as permitted by Sections 75 and 76
of the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
construction of the City of Paris Fire Station 1 in the 1400 block of N. Main Street be executed
directly by the City Engineer's Department of the City of Paris in conformity with detailed
plans, specifications and estimates,
