1996-087-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL HAS BEEN MADE AWARE OF THE FACT THAT LOTS 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 AND ET AL
RESOLUTION NO. 96-087
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has been made aware of the fact
that Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block I, of the Fairview Addition, within the corporate
limits of the City of Paris, have a zoning classification of Commercial District; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris that such
zoning classification be reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of
Paris and in the event that the same should be changed to a Public Lands and Institution
District (PLI) classification, that such recommendation should be made to the City Council
for final action; and,
WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that a public hearing be set before the Planning
and Zoning Commission at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas,
on the 3rd day of September, 1996, and before the City Council at 6:00 p.m. on the 5th
day of September, 1996; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the matter of appropriate zoning on Lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7, Block I of the Fairview
Addition of the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby referred to the Planning and
Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for its recommendation concerning the property
zoning of the same; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before the
Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris at 5:30 p.m., in the City Council
Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas, on the 3rd day of September, 1996, and a public hearing
be held by and before the City Council of the City of Paris at 6:00 p.m. in the Council
Room, City Hall, Paris, Texas on the 5th day of September, 1996, said public hearings
to be held concerning appropriate zoning on said property.
