1996-079-RES WHEREAS, HOUSING AUTHORITY OF COP WILL RECEIVE APPROXIMATELY $322,183 IN FUNDING
RESOLUTION NO. 96-079
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Paris will receive approximately
$322,183.00 in funding for physical and management improvements during fiscal year 1996
under the Comprehensive Grant Program (CGP); and,
WHEREAS, under the requirements of said Comprehensive Grant Program (CGP), the
Housing Authority must submit an annual statement to the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, which said statement must include therewith a Local Government Statement
executed by the Chief Executive Officer of the unit of local government; and,
WHEREAS, the form of the Local Government Statement, attached hereto as Exhibit
A, should, in all things be, approved, and the execution of the same by Michael E, Malone, City
Manager of the City of Paris, should be ratified; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
form of Local Government Statement (HUD-52835), attached hereto as Exhibit A, be, and the
same is hereby, approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the execution of the Local Government Statement
by Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of Paris, be, and the same is hereby, ratified.

The PHA'sIIHA's proposed.drug elimination aCtivities are
coordinated with and supportive of local drug elimination
strategies and neighborhood improvement programs, if
applicab~. Under the Cooperation Agreement, the locall1rlbal
government is providing public services and facilities of the
same charader and to the same extent to Public and Indian
housing as are fumished to other"dwellings and residents of
the locality. Where additional on-duty police ere being lunded "
under \he Comprehensive Grant Program. such police will only
provide additional security and protective se!Vices over and
abOlle those for which the loca1llrlbalgovemment is
contractually obligated to provide under the Cooperation
Agreements.
