SUBJECT: DEMOLITION CONTRACT

BACKGROUND: The City of Paris contracted with Sanitation Solutions, Inc. to demolish and
remove debris of structures condemned by the Building Standards Commission. That contract
expires in December, 2018.
STATUS OF ISSUE: A new bid was advertised for the demolition and debris removal of
structures condemned by the Building Standards Commission. Only one bid was received for this
service. Sanitation Solutions, Inc. submitted the sole bid.
BUDGET: $60,000 demolition and $40,000 debris removal.
RECOMMENDATION: It is recommended that the new contract be awarded to Sanitation
Solutions, Inc. for a per ton demolition and removal of $33.35 per ton, with the contract length of
three years.
