1996-134-RES WHEREAS, COP AND CITY OF RENO HAVE STATUTORY EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTIONS THAT OVERLAP
RESOLUTION NO. 96-134
WHEREAS, the City of Paris and the City of Reno have statutory extraterritorial
jurisdictions that overlap each other; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did. on October 8, 1984. by
Resolution No. 84-072 approve and authorize the execution of an Agreement
Apportioning Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Overlap; and.
WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received a request from a property owner, whose
property is located in the area designated" Area A" on the Plat Exhibit to said Agreement,
that a portion of this property, described on Exhibit A attached hereto, be ceded to Reno
for annexation; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with section 2.(a) of said agreement, such request
should be granted subject to Development Plan recommended by the City Engineer of the
City of Paris and approved by the City Council; NOW, THEREt'ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01" PARIS, that
the request of Donald R. Lewis, Jf. that a portion of his property described on Exhibit A
attached hereto, be ceded to Reno for annexation in accordance with section 2.(a) of the
Agreement Apportioning Extraterritorial Jurisdiction Overlap be, and is hereby
approved subject to Development Plan recommended by the City Engineer of the City of
Paris and approved by the City Council.
