1996-131-RES WHEREAS, CITY COUNCIL DID HERETOFORE AT ITS REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING ON NOVEMBER 7, 1996
RESOLUTION NO. 96-131
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore, at its regular council meeting on
November 7, 1996, hear requests from citizens to accomplish drainage improvements along
the north side of Loop 286 N.E. from 34th Street N.E. to Stillhouse Creek Tributary No.
22; and,
WHEREAS, the current budget of the City of Paris docs not contain funds for this
project; and,
WHEREAS, there is a balance in the Certificates of Obligation, Series 1993, funds
which can, and should, be used to accomplish this purpose; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the drainage improvements along the
north side of Loop 286 N.E. from 34th Street N.E. to Stillhouse Creek Tributary No. 22,
be executed directly by the City Engineer's Department of the City of Paris in conformity
with detailed plans, specifications, and estimates, as permitted by Sections 75 and 76 of
the Charter of the City of Paris; NOW, THEREI<'ORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL 010' THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the drainage improvements along the north side of Loop 286 N.E. from 34th Street N.E.
to Stillhouse Creek Tributary No. 22, be executed directly by the City Engineer's
Department of the City of Paris in conformity with detailed plans, specifications and
estimates; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the above described drainage project,
hereafter known as "Stillhouse Tributary No. 22 Drainage Improvement Project 1996", be,
and the same is hereby, authorized to be funded from Certificates of Obligation Series
1993.
