SUBJECT: NW EMS STATION CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT CLOSEOUT
DATE: January 7, 2019
BACKGROUND: In March 2018, the City contracted with Archer Construction & Design for
the construction of the NW EMS Station located at 2320 NW 19" Street. The original contract
amount was $473,577.00, and construction was expected to take 7 months.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Construction began in June 2018, and Archer has completed all work
under the contract and requests final acceptance and release of retainage upon approval by the
City Council. The final billing for all work completed is $473,577.00. Progress payments have
been made in accordance with the contract documents, and the only remaining payment is for the
retained amount of $23,678.85.
BUDGET: Funding is available in the Capital Projects Fund.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve of the final payment and contract closeout for Archer
Construction & Design on the NW EMS Station construction project.
