1. Call meeting to order — Richard Manning, Chairman
2. Invocation
3. Citizens' Input
(Persons desiring to address the Paris EDC Board must limit their presentation to no more than two
minutes. Unless an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Board from
responding to any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a
staff person with specific factual information. Claims against the Paris EDC, Board Members or
employees are not appropriate for citizens' input.)
If necessary, the Paris Economic Development Corporation may convene into Executive Session under
Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code regarding any item on this agenda.
4. Discuss and possibly approve Minutes of the January 15, 2018, Monthly Meeting.
5. Discuss and possibly approve January 2019 Financials.
6. Discuss and possibly approve the yearly Audit Report for the 2017-2018 fiscal year as presented by
Brittany Martin of McClanahan and Holmes.
7. Bid Opening — Asbestos Abatement and Disposal for former Superior Switch Building at 2615 NW Loop
286. Final Decision after Bids are Evaluated and within Five Business Days.
8. American SpiralWeld Pipe Update:
• Transfer of Greenfield
• Demolition Preparation
• Rail Progress
• Environmental Progress
9. Convene into Executive Session:
1) Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to (1) discuss or deliberate
regarding commercial or financial information that the governmental body has received
from a business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay, or
expand in or near the territory of the governmental body and with which the
governmental body is conducting economic development negotiations; or (2) to
deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to a business prospect described by
Subdivision (1), to wit:
• Project Pine Tree
• Huhtarnaki
10. Reconvene into Open Session and possibly take action on item(s) discussed in Executive Session.
11. Discuss Future Agenda Items.
