1994-088-RES WHEREAS, because of the increased turning traffic due to the location of the Elderly Housing
RESOLUTION NO. 94-088
WHEREAS, because of the increased turning traffic due to the location of the
Elderly Housing Development at 3390 Clarksville, the City Council of the City of Paris
is aware of a need for a center turn lane at the entrance of this development; and,
WHEREAS, it is perceived that the addition of a center turn lane would alleviate
the congestion anticipated at said location; and,
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Paris for
the City Council to request the Texas Department of Transportation to establish a center
turn lane at the entrance of 3390 Clarksville Street; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that
the Texas Department of Transportation be requested to establish a center turn lane at the
entrance of the Elderly Housing Development at 3390 Clarksville Street; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City of Paris be, and
she is hereby, directed to furnish certified copies of this resolution to Jim Hall, Area
Engineer and to Jerry Keisler, Director of Transportation Operations.
