SUBJECT: CERTIFICATE OF ELECTION, STATEMENT OF ELECTED OFFICER
AND OATH OF OFFICE
DATE: April 26, 2019
BACKGROUND: On February 20, 2019, the City Clerk issued a certificate of unopposed
candidates for Districts 4, 5 and 7 and February 25, 2019 by ordinance number 2019-012, City
Council declared Council Members for Districts 4, 5 and 7 elected to office.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Pursuant to State Law, a certificate of election shall be issued to each
candidate who is elected to office; each elected officer shall execute a statement of elected
officer; and each elected officer shall take the oath of office prior to taking office.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: An oath of office will be administered to each elected officer.
