RESOLUTION NO. 94-150 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 94-044, award the contract for SOUP STREET Paving Project to STEPHENS AND SONS CONCRETE CONTRACTORS on behalf of the Paris Economic Development Corporation; and, WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, acting as project engineer of said project recommends the amendment of said contract by Change Order No. One and Final attached hereto as Exhibit "A", which provides for a net decrease in contract price of $3,123.85 for a total of $160,152.33 for adjusting bid quantities to "AS-BUILT" quantities, which amount, less the $20,000.00 contribution requested from the City of Paris, is within the total allocation authorized by the Paris Economic Development Corporation, and such form should be approved, and the Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the City's contribution in the amount of $20,000.00 be authorized; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the SOUP STREET Paving Project, contract is hereby amended by Change Order No. One and Final attached hereto as Exhibit "A", providing for a net decrease in contract price of $3,123.85 for a total of $160,152.33 for adjusting bid quantities to "AS-BUILT" quantities, which is in all things approved; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Don Shelton, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute said Change Order No. One and Final. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Paris contribution of $20,000.00 to the total construction price of $160,152.33, be, and the same is hereby authorized and that the Director of Finance, W. E. Anderson, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to pay to Paris Economic Development Corporation $20,000.00. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 12th day of December, 1994. ATTEST: ~~'""~~.~~)
