<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 90-
<br />099, authorize an Interlocal Governmental Agreement for Security Services through the Paris
<br />Police Department with the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, which agreement expired
<br />January 31, 1992; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, in Resolution No. 92-
<br />005, authorize an extension of said agreement for an additional term of one year, which term
<br />expired on January 31, 1993; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, funding has again become available to the Housing Authority of the City
<br />of Paris through the "Community Policing Drug Elimination Grant", and the City of Paris has
<br />again been requested to furnish said community policing drug elimination services through the
<br />Paris Police Department; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Paris that
<br />said services be provided; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Interlocal Governmental Agreement for Community Policing Drug
<br />Elimination Services, attached hereto as Exhibit A, would satisfy the request by the Housing
<br />Authority of the City of Paris at a cost of $62,400.00, which is within the grant budget; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the agreement for said services, attached hereto as Exhibit A,
<br />should, in all things, be approved, and Don Shelton, Mayor of the City of Paris, should be
<br />authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the
<br />form of the Interlocal Governmental Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A be, and the same
<br />is hereby, approved; and,
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Don Shelton, Mayor of the City of Paris, be, and
<br />he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the Interlocal
<br />Governmental Agreement with the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, upon the terms and
<br />conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
