WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the City Council of
the City of Paris due to the death of Billy Joe
Burnett, and it is necessary to appoint his successor, and
the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, having
appointed John F. Bell to serve the unexpired term of Billy
Joe Burnett, which ends in May, 1994, and has submitted the
name of such person to the City Council of the City of Paris;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS: That the appointment of John F. Bell, as a member of
the City Council of the City of Paris to serve the unexpired
term of Billy Joe Burnett, which ends in May, 1994, is by the
City Council of the City of Paris hereby approved and
confirmed.
Passed and adopted this 12th day of July, 1993.
