WHEREAS, the terms of office of Joe Miesch,
Powell, Michael Rhodes, Laurie Gullion, Ed Ellis, Dr.
Black, F. I. McClanahan and Wanda Compton as member s of
Historic Landmark Preservation Committee of the City
Paris, will expire on June 30, 1993; and,

WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher,
does hereby recommend the re-appointments of Joe Miesch, as
a member of the board of directors of a local financial
institution; Rick Powell as a member with nursery and/or
landscape interest; Michael Rhodes, a member of the Visitors
and Convent ion Counc i 1 of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar
County; Ed Ellis as a member of the Lamar County Bar
Association; and F. I. McClanahan as member at large, and
the appointments of William E. Cupit as a Realtor, and Patsy
Daniels as a member of the Lamar County Genealogy Society,
and Flo Brunett as member at large, for a term of two (2)
years, beginning July 1, 1993, and ending June 30, 1995;
and,
WHEREAS, there exists a vacancy on the membership of
the Historic Landmark Preservation Committee due to the
resignation of JoAnn Parkman, whose term expires on June 30,
1994, and it is necessary to appoint her successor, and the
Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, having appointed
Donald G. Wilson, representing the Industrial Development
Commission, the serve the unexpired term of JoAnn Parkman
which ends June 30, 1994, and has submitted the name of such
person to the City Council of the City of Paris; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the re-appointments of Joe Miesch, as
a member of the board of directors of a local financial
institution; Rick Powell as a member with nursery and/or
landscape interest; Michael Rhodes, a member of the Visitors
and Convention Council of the Chamber of Commerce of Lamar
County; Ed Ellis as a member of the Lamar County Bar
Association; and F. I. McClanahan as member at large, and
