SUBJECT: PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2019-20 BUDGET

BACKGROUND: A public hearing on the proposed City budget is required by Section 50 of the
City Charter and Section 102.006 of the Local Government Code. The proposed budget was filed
with the City Clerk on August 16''. On August 261 the City Council approved a resolution
calling for a public hearing on the 2019-20 City budget on September Yd. A legal notice
advertising the public hearing was published in the Paris News. A copy of the proposed budget
was placed on the City website.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold the public hearing on the 2019-20 City
budget on September 3, 2019,
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing on the proposed 2019-20 City budget.
