1993-013-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has become aware of the traffic congestion at the
RESOLUTION NO, 93-013
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has
become aware of the traffic congestion at the intersection of
Lamar Avenue and Collegiate Drive caused by the existing
limitation of two moving traffic lanes only for the east
bound traffic on Lamar Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, it is perceived that the addition of a right
turn lane for east bound traffic on Lamar Avenue to use in
turning south on Collegiate Drive would alleviate the
congestion of east bound traffic at this intersection; and,
WHEREAS, it would be in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Paris for the City Council to support
a project to add a right turn lane for east bound traffic on
Lamar Avenue at tbe intersection of Collegiate Drive; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that they go on record as being in complete support of Texas
Department of Transportation project entitled, "Business 82
at Collegiate Street in Paris, Lamar County, CSJ 004509059";
and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that tbe City Clerk of the City
of Paris be and she is hereby directed to furnish certified
copies of this resolution to Bob L, Myers, District Engineer,
to Jim Hall, Area Engineer, and to Jerry Keisler, Director
of Transportation Operations.
