Paris Public Library Advisory Board
Meeting Minutes
July 17, 2019
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:03 p.m. by Chairwoman Carol
James.
Present:
Board members present were Carol James, Christina Schock, Ashley Lassiter, Rebecca Umphrey and Denise Kornegay,
Director Priscilla McAnally was also present. Marilyn Threadgill and Melanie Loughmiller were absent.
• Approval of Minutes:
The minutes of the June 19, 2019 meeting were unanimously approved.
• New Business:
Slate of officers was presented by Christina Schock and unanimously approved: Carol James, Chair,
Denise Kornegay, Vice -Chair, Ashley Lassiter, Secretary.
• Old Business:
None
• Presentations:
• Budget Report was presented for review with no comments.
• Statistical Report was presented with no comments.
• Friends of the Library:
No report
• Director's Remarks:
Director reported that the City plans to build a deck with benches at the back of the library. The benches will
be paid for by Friends of the Library.
The next meeting will August 21, 2019 at 4:OOpm.
