SUBJECT: SECOND PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED 2019-20 TAX RATE
DATE: August 28, 2019
BACKGROUND: Two public hearings on the proposed City tax rate are required by Section
140.010 of the Local Government Code. Public notice of the proposed tax rate was published
August 2nd in the Paris News. The first public hearing was held September 3, 2019.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The City Council needs to hold a second public hearing on the 2019-20
proposed City tax rate on September 9.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the second hearing on the proposed 2019-20 City tax rate.
