WHEREAS, a Comprehensive Plan for Thoroughfares, Land
Use, Parks and Open Space, and Housing, Paris, Texas, June,
1981 was adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris on
December 14, 1981, requires amendment due to changing
circumstances; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed route of a thoroughfare, unamed,
which would begin at FM 195 and proceed in a southeasterly
and easterly direction through the existing right of way of
Clement Road from 34th Street N,E. to 36th Street N.E, thence
in an easterly direction and then turning south to connect
wi th an extens ion of 42nd Street N, E. wh ich connects Pine
Mill Road and U. S. Highway 82 East is speculative and has
not been constructed along any of its route in accordance
with Master Plan requirements, therefore, the relocation of
the same could be accomplished without public detriment; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the master thoroughfare connection of FM 195 with Pine
Mill Road and U, S. Highway 82 be deleted in accordance with
Exhibit A attached hereto, and the Master Thoroughfare and
Circulation Plan is hereby amended to so reflect.
