RESOLUTION NO. 93-039
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 87-120 on November 9, 1987, declare Lot 30,
City Block 59, being property at 260 East Booth Street to be
surplus property and ordered sold; and,
WHEREAS, the size of said Lot 30 is only 34 feet wide
and cannot be used independently under its current zoning and
would be of no value to anyone except the adjacent property
owner; and,

THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the offer of St. Paul Baptist Church in the amount of
$550,00 for Lot 30, City Block 59, is hereby accepted; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute a deed on behalf of the City of Paris to
convey said property to St. Paul Baptist Church,
Passed and adopted on the 12th day of April, 1993.

by and through its mayor, George Fisher, of the County of
Lamar, State of Texas, for and in consideration of the sum of
Ten and No/lOO Dollars ($10,00) cash and other good and
valuable consideration, to it in hand paid by the ST. PAUL
BAPTIST CHURCH, the receipt and sufficiency of which is
hereby acknowledged; have Granted, Sold and Conveyed, and by
these presents do Grant, Sell and Convey unto the said ST.
PAUL BAPTIST CHURCH of the County of Lamar, State of Texas,
whose mailing address is 454 2nd Street N.E., Paris, TX
75460, all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in
Lamar County, Texas, and described as follows:
SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City
of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of
the Larkin Rattan Survey, and being Lot 30, City Block
59, described in deed from Lamar County Human Resources
to the City of Paris recorded December 20, 1978 in Vol.
609, Page 132, also being the same property described
in deed from Thomas Broad to H. F. Graham recorded in
Book 54, Page 198, Lamar County Deed Records, described
by metes and bounds as follows in accordance with a
survey made by W. R. Abbott, Registered Public
Surveyor, on September 18, 1968.
BEGINNING at a stake at the intersection of the
SBL of Booth Street and the WBL of 3rd Street, N. E. ,
formerly known as 23rd Street and originally as
Jefferson Street;
THENCE South with the WBL of 3rd Street N.E., 34
feet, a stake at the NEC of a tract of land conveyed by
H. F. Graham to J. R. Shelton by deed recorded in Book
143, Page 146, Lamar County Deed Records;
THENCE West 97 feet, a stake at the NWC of said
Graham-Shelton tract of land;
THENCE North 37 feet, a stake in the SBL of Booth
Street;
