1993-038-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris supports the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas,
RESOLUTION NO. 93-038
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris supports
the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas, in their
application for an additional 50 residential family units
designated for low income persons to be located throughout
the City of Paris; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Paris,
Texas, continuously maintains an extensive list of applicants
for public housing that cannot be served by the existing
public housing which verifies the continuing need for
additional public housing; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the City of Paris supports the Housing Authority of the
City of Paris, Texas, in its efforts to provide public
housing for our community, The Housing Authority of the City
of Paris, Texas's application is an answer to a verifiable
urgent need for additional residential family units for the
low income citizens of Paris, which application for 50
residential units to be located throughout the City of Paris,
is fully supported; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Paris, Mattie Cunningham, be, and she is hereby directed
to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to Tony Rios,
Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Paris,
Texas, to be included with said authority's application to
the Department of Housing and Urban Development,
Passed and adopted this 15th day of March, 1993.
