WHEREAS, such plans and specifications have been
prepared by Hayter Engineering, Inc., with the title being
given thereto of RAW WATER TRANSMISSION MAIN FROM PAT MAYSE
LAKE TO CITY OF PARIS WATER TREATMENT PLANT, EDA Project No,
08-01-02814, which plans and specifications are recommended
for approval by the City Engineer of the City of Paris; and
WHEREAS, such plans and specifications should be
approved and such project should be advertised for bids; NOW,
THEREF6RE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the plans and specifications for the RAW WATER
TRANSMISSION MAIN FROM PAT MAYSE LAKE TO CITY OF PARIS WATER
TREATMENT PLANT, EDA Project No, 08-01-02814 are hereby
approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such raw water transmission
main project should be advertised for bids to be received
after due notice and thereafter returned to City Hall for
opening, at 3:00 o'clock P,M, on Tuesday, April 20, 1993, and
should be presented to the City Council on the 10th day of
May, 1993, for the purpose of letting such bid.

Separate sealed bids for general construction contracts for a raw
water transmission main, intake structure walkway, chemical feed
system, and appurtenances will be received by the Honorable Mayor
and City Council of the City of Paris at City Hall, 135 First
Street S.E., Paris, Texas until 3:00 p.lII., April 20 ,1993, at
which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of contract, Plans,
Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment
Bonds and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following

Copies of Contract Documents may be obtained from Hayter
Engineering, Inc., at the above address upon payment of $170.00
for each set. The ENGINEER shall refund $85.00 per complete set
of Contract Documents returned in good condition within 30 days
after the date bids are received. Persons not returning the
documents within this limit shall forfeit their refund.
The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to
reject any or all bids.
Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form
and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for
Bidders.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally
determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon) wage rate, as set forth in the
Contract Documents, must be paid on this project, and that the
CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment
are not discriminated against because of their race, color,
religion, sex, or national origin.
The cost of this project is being paid for, in part, with a grant-
in-aid from the Economic Development Administration, U. S.
Department of Commerce. An amount not to exceed $1,500,000.00, of
the total cost of this project will be financed with Federal money.
All bids submitted shall be good for 90 calendar days and no BIDDER
may withdraw his bid within 90 calendar days after the actual date
of the opening thereof.
