BACKGROUND: Several items seized by our Auto Theft Task Force were advertised for a sealed
bid auction.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The auction was advertised in the local newspaper and on social media. The
bids were publically opened in the city council chambers on September 23, 2019 at 3:15 PM. A
bid tabulation form is attached to this memo.
BUDGET: Any proceeds from this sale are required to go back into the Auto Theft Task Force
Grant. There is no other impact to the budget of the police department.
RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve the sale to the highest bidder.
