Item No. 13 <br />TO: Mayor & City Council <br />Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager & Finance Director <br />FROM: Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD <br />DATE: October 2, 2019 <br />BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards and Commissions, adopted by City <br />Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in June. <br />STATUS OF ISSUE: Appointments were made on June 24. On September 23, 2019, staff <br />received a resignation from Library Advisory Board Member Christina Schock. Staff advertised <br />for the board vacancy and has received applications from Charlotte (Elaine) Pollard, Sherry <br />Torres, Wendy Hamaker, and Carolyn Hiner. <br />BUDGET: N/A <br />RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one member to the Library Advisory Board to fill the <br />unexpired term of Christina Schock, whose term expires June 30, 2020. <br />
