SUBJECT: APPOINTMENT TO THE LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD
DATE: October 2, 2019
BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures for Boards and Commissions, adopted by City
Council require that appointments be made at the second regular City Council meeting in June.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Appointments were made on June 24. On September 23, 2019, staff
received a resignation from Library Advisory Board Member Christina Schock. Staff advertised
for the board vacancy and has received applications from Charlotte (Elaine) Pollard, Sherry
Torres, Wendy Hamaker, and Carolyn Hiner.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint one member to the Library Advisory Board to fill the
unexpired term of Christina Schock, whose term expires June 30, 2020.
