1992-033-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. B8-044 authorize a 15/0
RESOLUTION NO. 92-033
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. B8-044 authorize a 15/0 penalty
to be added to the delinquent tax accounts In accordance
with Section 33.07 of the Texas Property Tax Code; and,
WHEREAS, in order to add the 15% penalty to tax
accounts wh ich are delinquent on July 1 of a year, it is
necessary for the governing body to direct that the same be
added thereto and that the governing body enter into
contract with an attorney for the purpose of collection of
delinquent tax accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to
engage Thomas E. Hunt, III, as delinquent tax collection
attorney using the professions services contract form
attached hereto as Exhibit A; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
PARIS, that the form of the Professional Service
for delinquent tax collection, by and between the
Paris and Thomas E. Hunt, III, dated May 11, 1992,
hereto as Exhibit A, is hereby approved; and,
