1992-025-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 90-022 approve the
RESOLUTION NO.
92-025
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. 90-022 approve the execution of
a contract agreement with the Paris Visitors and Convention
Committee and the Chamber of Commerce; and,
WHEREAS, the terms of the contract agreement are in need
of revision and an Addendum No. One in the form of Exhibit A
attached hereto should be approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that the mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher,
be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City of Paris Addendum No. One in the form of
Exhibit A attached hereto.

DATED MARCH 8, 1990, BETWEEN
PARIS VISITORS AND CONVENTION COMMITTEE,
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF LAMAR COUNTY, INC.,
AND THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS that this Addendum to the
Contrac t, 'dated March 8, 1990, by and between Par is Vis i tor sand
Convention Committee, by and through its Chairman, E. A. Hernan,
hereinafter called V&CC, Chamber of Commerce of Lamar County,
Inc., by and through its President, David Denney, hereinafter
called CHAMBER and the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, by and
through its Mayor, Eric S. Clifford, hereinafter called CITY,
WITNESSETH:
It is hereby mutually agreed by and between V&CC, CHAMBER
and CITY as follows:
that the Contract be amended to read as follows:
"4. V&CC agrees to ded ica te 42.85'. of the Hotel/Motel
tax to the civic center construction project and upon its
completion to operate the civic center through September 30,
1995.
"5. That CHAMBER shall submit for approval a proposed
annual program of work and budget for the same, which shall
include dedicating three-sevenths (3/7th) of the total budget
to a conyention capital improvement fund to be used for the
construction of a civic center and upon completion of
construction of said civic center to operate the same through
September 30, 1995, said operation to be in accordance with a
budget which is to be included in the annual program of work
EXHIBIT. A
and budget for the V&CC, to a committee composed of the Mayor
of the City of Paris, one City Councilman and the City
Manager each year on or before April 1, which committee shall
report and make recommendations to the City Council which
shall finally approve the budget and program of work in the
form determined by the City Council.
