1992-020-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 88-006 and 90-004
RESOLUTION NO. 92-020
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. 88-006 and 90-004 authorize the
City Attorney to procure the right of way necessary for the
First Street North West Reconstruction Project under the
1983-1986 Urban Project Number MH715 from Graham Street North
to its intersection with North Main Street approximately 800
feet north of the north boundary line of Santa Fe Street's
intersection with North Main Street; and,
WHEREAS, the alignment approved in Resolution No. 90-004
dictates that the previous easement reserved by Paris Junior
College in its deed to Edward R. Jenkins be released by use
of a quit claim deed in the form of Exhibit A attached
hereto. The required right of way having heretofore been
conveyed to the City of Paris by Right-Of-Way Deed from
Edward R. Jenkins; and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the mayor of the City of
Paris be authorized to execute said Quit Claim Deed; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
THAT the Mayor of the City of Paris, George Fisher, be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed on behalf of the City of
Paris to execute the Quit Claim Deed to Edward R. Jenkins in
the form of Exhibit A attached hereto.

COUNTY OF LAMAR ~
THAT the City of Paris, a municipal corporation, by and
through its Mayor, George Fisher, duly authorized, of Lamar
County, Texas, for an in consideration of TEN AND NO/IOO DOLLARS
cash and other good and valuable consideration, to it in hand
paid by EDWARD R. JENKINS, of the County of Lamar and State of
Texas, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have quit
claimed, and by these presents do quitclaim, unto the said EDWARD
R. JENKINS, all its right, title, interest, claim and demand in
and to a certain lot or parcel of land situated within the
corporate limits of the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas,
described as follows:
BEING a part of a tract of land situated within the
Corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and
State of Texas, and a part of the Larkin Rattan Survey,
conveyed by Stevens Foods, Inc., a Texas Corporation, to
Par i s Junior College, a Texas non-prof i t corporat ion, by
deed dated the 1 s t day of December, 1986, and recorded in
Vol. 707, page 119, of the Deed Records of Lamar County,
Texas.
BEGINNING at a point, said point being in the existing
NBL of said tract, said point also being the existing SBL
of a tract owned by Ray Spencer, said point being in the
proposed east right-of-way line of proposed 1st N.W.
Street, said point being in a curve to the left whose
radius is 365.1433 feet, and whose tangent at this point
bears S 410 23' W, said point being S 700 OS' W a distance
of 182.4 feet from the existing NEC of said tract, said
point also being N 700 OS' E a distance of 56.1 feet from
proposed centerline survey station 39+88.4 of said proposed
location of 1st N.W. Street;
THENCE in a Southerly direction with said curve to the
left a distance of 243.3 feet, a point said point being in
said curve whose tangent at this point bears S 30 12' W,
said point also being in the existing SBL of said tract,
said point also being in the existing right-of-way line of
the Gulf Colorado and Santa Fe Railroad;
THENCE S 700 12' W along said Paris Junior College-
Railroad common boundary line a distance of 64.4 feet, at

THENCE in a northerly direction with said curve to the
right a distance of 128.1 feet, a point, said point bein9
in said curve whose tangent at this point bears N 280 58

Spencer;
THENCE N 700 OS' E along said Paris Junior College-Ray
Spencer common boundary a distance of 104.2 feet, at 48.2
feet passing through said proposed centerline survey
station 39+88.4 of said proposed location of 1st N.W.
Street, a point, said point being the place of beginning
and containing 0.313 acre of land, more or less and being
the same property described as an easement for an extension
of First Street Northwest in Deed from Paris Junior College
to Edward R. Jenkins dated August 12, 1988 and recorded in
Volume 44, Page 186, Real Property Records, Lamar County,
Texas. IT BEING EXPRESSLY AGREED AND UNDERSTOOD THAT THE
CONVEYANCE HEREIN IS OF AN EASEMENT INTEREST ONLY and has
no effect upon the right of way conveyed by Right-of-Way
Deed from Edward R. Jenkins to the City of Paris dated
February 28, 1992, recorded in Book 268, Page 318, Real
Property Records, Lamar County, Texas.
with all and singular its right, title, interest, estate, claim
and demand in and to the hereditaments and appurtenances thereto
belonging or in any wise pertaining; to have and to hold the
above released rights, titles, interests, claims, and demand, to
the said EDWARD R. JENKINS, his heirs and assigns, forever, so
that neither the City of Paris nor its successors, legal
representatives or assigns shall have any right or title to or
interest in such property, premises or appurtenances, or any part
thereof, at any time hereafter.
