1992-005-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore in Resolution No. 90-099 authorize an
RESOLUTION NO. 92-005
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore in Resolution No. 90-099 authorize an Interlocal
Governmental Agreement for Security Services through the
Paris Police Department with the Housing Authority of the
City of Paris, which agreement expires January 31, 1992; and,
WHEREAS, both parties have enjoyed the contractural
relationship and desire to contract upon the same terms and
conditions for an additional term of one year; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that security services in the form of additional police
services be extended to the Housing Authority of the City of
Paris, upon the terms and conditions stated in the agreement
attached hereto as Exhibit A, and that the Mayor of the City
of Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
Interlocal Governmental Agreement for Security Services with
the Housing Authority of the City of Paris, in the form of
Exhibit A attached hereto.

INTERLOCAL GOVERNMENTAL AGREENENT FOR SECURITY SERVICE
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PARIS AND
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal
corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, George Fisher,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and the HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF PARIS, a public housing authority,
acting by and through its Executive Director, Tony Rios,
hereinafter called PHA, do hereby contract and agree as
follows:
1. CITY covenants and agrees that it will furnish
security service in addition to ordinary police patrol
service currently furnished to PHA to consist of two (2)
police patrol privates with personal communication packs, and
one fully equipped and marked police patrol unit for two
thousand sixteen (2,016) hours for the first annual period.
Hours to be scheduled weekly as agreed by the chief, Paris
Police Department and the Executive Director of the Housing
Authority of the City of Paris, and schedule may be amended
upon agreement of the parties hereto.
EXHIBIT A
2. PHA agrees to pay and CITY agrees to accept
$60,000.00 for the second year of said service.
3. This agreement shall be effective and the term
thereof shall commence on the fir s t day of February, 1992,
and shall end on the 31st day of January, 1993.
4. In the event that PHA desires continued security
service beyond the end of this agreement, PHA shall give
written notice to the CITY on or before ninety (90) days
before the termination date of this agreement of its desire
for such service for an additional term, and upon receipt of
said notice, CITY will deliver to PHA within thirty (30) days
the annual cost at which it will receive service, and
thereafter on or before 30 days from the termination date of
this agreement, PHA will execute the agreement for service
for an additional annual term upon the same terms and
conditions as stated herein at the cost stated in the new
agreement.
