1992-003-RES WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development is making funds available through its
RESOLUTION NO. 92-003
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development
is making funds available through its Youth Sports Program to
provide sports, recreational, cultural and educational
activities for youth residents of public housing; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Paris,
Texas, is eligible for and is processing an application for
grant funds under the Youth Sports Program; and,
WHEREAS, such grant requires matching funds in the form
of cash, facilities or volunteer work; and,
WHEREAS, the Boys Club of Paris has agreed to be
designated the local provider in such grant application; and,
WHEREAS, it is deemed in the best interest of the
citizens of Paris that the City of Paris continue to promote
wholesome youth activities at every opportunity; therefore,
it is fitting and proper for the City of Paris to support the
Housing Authority of the City of Paris, Texas, in its
application for funding under the Youth Sports Program; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the City of Paris does hereby support the Housing
Authority of the City of Paris, Texas, in its grant
application under the Youth Sports Program funded by the
Department of Housing and Urban Development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Paris, Mattie Cunningham, deliver a certified copy of this
Resolution to the Housing Authority of the City of Paris,
Texas, to be included in its application for grant funds.
