1992-103-RES WHEREAS, 30th Street N.E. from the north boundary line of Loop 286 N.E., north to its dead end into the RESOLUTI ON NO. 92-103 WHEREAS, 30th Street N.E. from the north boundary line of Loop 286 N.E., north to its dead end into the dead end of Center Street and Center Street from said dead end east approximately 1,230 feet to the west right of way line of the proposed 31st Street N.E. is unpassable during the winter months of the year and is not fronted thereon by any residences, should be abandoned after public hearing and recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission; and, WHEREAS, said streets are not integrated into the master street plan of the City of Paris and to permit such street to continue as an open street in its condition is a danger to the travelling public and could be considered an attractive nuisance; and, WHEREAS, said streets serve no useful purpose as streets but could have utility in the form of an easement which should be retained by the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, it would be appropriate to hold a public hearing by and before the Planning and Zoning commission on the 4th day of January, 1993, and before the City Council on the 7th day of January, 1993, in order that the public might be heard concerning the proposed closing of said portion of said streets, being 30th Street N.E. from the north boundary line of Loop 286 N.E., north to its dead end into the dead end of Center Street and Center Street from said dead end east approximately 1,230 feet to the west right of way line of the proposed 31st Street N.E.; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that public hearings be and they are hereby set before the Planning and Zoning Commission on Monday, January 4, 1993 at 5:30 p.m. and before the City Council of the City of Paris on Thursday, January 7, 1993 at 6:00 P.M.; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Planning and Zoning Commission shall make such recommendation as it sees fit concerning the closing of said streets and shall transmit its recommendation to the City Council of the City of Paris.
