1992-090-RES WHEREAS, the 1961 Ward LaFrance, convertible type fire truck, Engine F-6 has been removed from
RESOLUTION NO. 92-090
WHEREAS, the 1961 Ward LaFrance, convertible
type fire truck, Engine F-6 has been removed from
service and is no longer being used by the City of
Paris Fire Department; and,
WHEREAS, Engine F-6 can no longer meet the State
of Texas requirements for a front line engine and
therefore does not assist the City of Paris in
meeting its requirements in order to maintain an
advantageous fire rating; and,
WHEREAS, Engine F-6 still has value as a fire
fighting piece of equipment but should be declared to
be surplus property to the City of Paris and disposed
of in accordance with state law; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PARIS, that the 1961 Ward LaFrance fire truck,
Engine F-6, be, and it is hereby declared to be
surplus property and the same shall be disposed of in
accordance with the laws of the State of Texas and
the Charter of the City of Paris.
