1992-077-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore receive a request for additional water RESOLUTION NO. 92-077 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore receive a request for additional water pressure and service to the area along Old Bonham Road from the East Boundary Line of Lot 9, City Block 213, and proceeding westerly to the intersection of 25th Street S.W.; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary for protection of the health and welfare of the above described area for the City of Par is to extend the above descr ibed 1 ine and ac t in the capacity of sponsor under the terms of Section IX of Sub- division Ordinance No. 1315 of the City of Paris with any refunds due under the pro rata charges being paid to the City of Paris water and sewer fund; and, WHEREAS, upon receipt of the above described request, preliminary plans, specifications and estimate of the total cost of the project were prepared and delivered to the City Manager and considered at the regular Council Meeting on the 13th day of July, 1992, and a public hearing concerning the same was set for Augus t 10, 1992, wh ich public hear ing was rescheduled at the regular Council Meeting on the 6th day of August, 1992, for the 10th day of September, 1992, at which time such public hearing was held; and, WHEREAS, after hearing the matters presented at the public hearing the City Council is of the opinion that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Paris and particu- larly the citizens in the vicinity of the proposed project that the City of Paris act as sponsor for said project, which is necessary for the protection of health and welfare in this area; and, WHEREAS, such project should be known as the "Pro Rata 10" Water Main Old Bonham Road Project" which has an estimated pro rata cost of $20,900.00, and a total estimated cost of $32,000.00; and, WHEREAS, the front foot method the method described on Exhibit THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the pro rata water main extension, along Old Bonham Road from the East Boundary Line of Lot 9, City Block 213, and proceeding westerly to the intersection of 25th Street S.W., containing approximately 1650 linear feet of P.V.C. water main line, be, and the same is hereby approved and shall be known as "Pro Rata 10" Water Main Old Bonham Road"; and, would be equitable and is A attached hereto; NOW, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Paris act as sponsor of said pro rata water main extension; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the front foot rule, the method described in Exhibit A attached hereto, is found to be equitable and is adopted as the method to be used for FILE 83.72 PRO-RATA 10" WATER MAIN EXTENSION OLD BONHAM ROAD Based on the front foot rule as described in ORDINANCE No. 1315, Sec. 5,B, (2) (C), the estimated costs for effected property owners is as follows: Lot 7, Block A, Valleyview Maggard, Stanley & Veta 755 S.W. 25th Paris 127.2' $941.52 Lot 9F, Block A, Valleyview Maggard, Stanley 755 S.W. 25th Paris 122.45' $906.37 Lot 17, City Block 309 Holman, Mrs. Roger c/o Larry Holman 2419 Bonham St. Paris 100' $740.19 Lot 16, City Block 309 Walker, G.W. 2025 Old Bonham Rd. Paris 497' $3,678.76 Lot 9, City Block 213 Hicks, Delileah Lee 2009 W. Sherman Paris 1191.94' $8,822.65 Lots 11 & 15, City Block 309 785' Williams, R.A. 2095 Brown Ave. Paris $5,810.51 TOTAL PRO-RATA CHARGES $20,900.00 EXHIBIT A be used for the purpose of the charging of the pro rata charges to the property owners benefiting from the same and the amounts to be collected in the event of connection to the line so constructed and paid to the water and sewer fund of the City of Paris.
