SUBJECT: CITY COUNCIL LIAISON APPOINTMENTS
TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

BACKGROUND: Policies and Procedures allow for Council Members to serve as liaisons to
Boards and Commissions, should Council feel it necessary.
STATUS OF ISSUE: Currently City Council Member Paula Portugal serves as the liaison to
PEDC and Council Member Pilgrim serves as liaison to the Main Street Advisory Board.
Recently, PEDC has changed their meeting date, which has created a scheduling conflict for
Council Member Portugal. Council Member Pilgrim has expressed an interest in serving as
liaison to the PEDC, and Council Member Portugal is would like to serve as liaison to the Main
Street Advisory Board.
BUDGET: N/A
RECOMMENDATION: Appoint Council Member Portugal to serve as the liaison to Main Street
Advisory Board and Council Member Pilgrim to serve as the liaison for the PEDC.
