WHEREAS, a committee has been formed by local residents
to sponsor the Dixie Boys Pre-Majors World Series in 1992;
and,
WHEREAS, a bid has been prepared
Baseball Association to be submitted
hosting the Dixie Boys Pre-Majors World
by Paris Teen League
in June of 1991 for
Series; and,
WHEREAS,
appurtenances
Series event;
facilities
are required
and,
such as bleachers and other
to be used as part of the World
WHEREAS, there is widespread community support for
hosting this activity; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that it hereby authorizes the following:
1. The submission of a bid to host the 1992 Dixie Boys
Pre-Majors World Series.
2. City of Paris facilities to be used in conjunction
with the playing of the 1992 Dixie World Series.
3. The Director of Community Facilities to coordinate
any activities on behalf of the City of Paris in regard to
sponsorship of the 1992 Dixie Boys Pre-Majors World Series.
Passed and adopted on this the 8th day of April, 1991.
