1991-017-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on September 24, 1991, in RESOLUTION NO. gl-017 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at its regular meeting on September 24, 1991, in Ordinance No. 90-034 authorize the advertisement for bids for furnishing labor, materials and equipment and performing all work required for the installation of carpet at the Police and Court Building located at 811 Bonham, Paris, Texas, which bids were received until 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, January 29,1991; and, WHEREAS, the best bid for such carpet and installation was made by Edward C. Seidle, d/b/a Seidle Enterprises, Paris, Texas and it should be awarded the bid for such carpet and installation; and, WHEREAS, the form of contract for installation project is attached hereto as be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, such carpet and Exhibit A, should BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Bid of Edward C. Seidle, d/b/a Seidle Enterprises, for the carpet and installation at the Paris Police and Court Building located at 811 Bonham, Paris, Texas, in the amount of $1,776.00 is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and specifications included in the bid documents; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the contract with Edward C. Seidle, d/b/a Seidle Enterprises, for carpet and installation upon the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto. Passed and adopted this 11th day of February, 1991. That SEIDLE agrees to perform all labor and furnish all materials for installing carpet at the Police Department Building located at 811 Bonham, Paris, Texas, in accordance with the specifications on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part hereof. 2. That SElDLE agrees to begin installation within thirty (30) days from the bid opening date of January 29, 1991. 3. The carpet specified and installed shall be a minimum of 22 oz. The carpet shall be made of a new 70% Olefin, 30 % nylon commercial grade loop. It shall be gray in color (multi-colored), or an approved equal. It shall have action back. 2. The carpet specified shall cover nine offices and two halls. 3. The tile/linoleum specified shall be heavy duty commercial type and shall cover one bath. 4. Carpet in the Polygraph Room shall cover the floor and walls. 5. All carpet specified shall have an action back. 6. Bid price will include all labor. 7. Bid price will also include any and all glues and labor for installation of carpets and tile/linoleum. 8. The bid should also include cost and installation of four (4) inch rubber base boards (gray in color) on every room. 9. The area to be carpeted shall be the newly remodeled portion of the Police department Building which will be known as the CID Division. EXHIBIT A
