servicing City of Paris vehicles. Bids were
3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, January 29, 1991;
WHEREAS, the best bid for such service was made by David
Taylor, dba Mr Goodlube, 662 Bonham Street, Par is, Texas
75460, and it should be awarded the bid for providing such
service; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract
is attached hereto as Exhibit A,
approved; NOW, THEREFORE,
for providing such service
and such form should be
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the bid of David Taylor, dba Mr Goodlube, for furnishing
of labor and materials and performing all work required for
servicing City of Paris vehicles is hereby accepted and let,
conditioned upon said contractor meeting all of the terms and
specifications included in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract for furnishing of labor and materials and performing
all work required for servicing City of Paris vehicles, upon
the terms and conditions and in the form shown in Exhibit A
attached hereto, with David Taylor, dba Mr Goodlube.

hereby contract and agree as follows:
1. To service CITY vehicles in accordance with the
specifications on Exhibit A attached hereto and made a part
hereof.
2. The term of this contract shall be for a period of
twelve (12) months beginning February 12, 1991, and ending on
February Ii, 1992.
3. City has the right to unilaterally terminate this
agreement at any time for failure to perform the required
services as outlined in Exhibit A attached hereto.

SPECIFICATIONS AND QUOTATIONS
FOR
VEHICLE SERVICE
The City of Paris will receive sealed bids for the services
listed on the bid tabulation sheet. The cost will include,
service, labor and supplies to complete the requested
serVice(s). Our fleet includes I.H. Corporation, General
Motors Corporation, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation
vehicles. These service quotes shall be valid for a period
of 12 months from date bidls) awarded.
Oil shall meet factory recommendations for service
classifications and viscosity or A.P.I. specifications (lOW
30, 15W 40 S.G., C.E.)
Automatic transmission fluid shall be Dextran lIar meet
factol-Y recommendations.
Heavy duty gear box oil SAE 90W.
Multi-purpose chassis lubricant WLG #2 grade.
All oil and grease shall meet or exceed vehicle
marlufacturer's recommendation.
Police vehicles shall be serviced at 3000 miles intervals;
ambulances and rescue units shall be serviced at 150 hours
or 3,000 miles intervals and additional city vehicles will
be serviced at 4000 miles intervals. Any needed repairs
shall be noted on the invoice. Also, a sticker denoting the
next scheduled service shall be attached to the vehicle in a
conspicuous area.
Any advertised specials, free gifts or services will not be
considered as a part of vendor's bid.
Servicing of vehicles/equipment shall be completed within a
15 millute time frame from time of arrival.
The service requested for each class of vehicles is listed
on lhe succeeding pages; also, any supplies or services
listecl und~r "Extra Products" that are included in Basic
Ser-vices should be marked "included in basic service" in the
pricing column.
