1991-031-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in Resolution No. 87-075, dissolve the Housing
RESOLUTION NO.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 87-075, dissolve the Housing Rehabilitation
Review Board as it was deemed that the need for such board
had been satisfied; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did in
Resolution No. 90-058 authorize the application for Texas
Community Development Program Grant Funds and thereafter
under the authority granted in said Resolution the City
Manager of the City of Paris did accept funding under Texas
Community Development Program Contract No. 700058; and,
WHEREAS, in order to comply with the rules and
regulations and Act governing said Grant Funds, it is
necessary that the City of Paris re-establish a Housing
Rehabilitation Review Board, which Board shall be composed of
five (5) members, all of whom are citizens of Paris and who
shall be appointed for two year terms, and said Board shall
be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council;
and,
WHEREAS, the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S.
Clifford, does hereby recommend the appointments of Melba Pye
Harris, Thurman Reese, Betty Kildahl, Rondie Williams and Ed
Seidle, as members of the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board
of the City of Paris for a term of two (2) years, beginning
April 1, 1991, and ending March 31, 1993; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, be,
and the same is hereby re-established, to be composed of five
(5) members, all of whom must be citizens of Paris and whose
term shall be for two (2) years.
2. That the appointments of Melba Pye Harris, Thurman
Reese, Betty Kildahl, Rondie Williams and Ed Seidle, as
Members of the Housing Rehabilitation Review Board, for a
term of two (2) years, beginning April 1, 1991, and ending
March 31, 1993, are by the City Council of the City of Paris
hereby approved and confirmed.
