1991-112-RES WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs is administering assistance for the
RESOLUTION NO. 91-112
WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Housing and Community
Affairs is administering assistance for the purposes of
rehabil i tat ion of subs tandard uni ts in compliance with the
Texas Rental Rehabilitation Program; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris deems it
to be in the best interest of the citizens of Paris to seek
such assistance; and,
WHEREAS, an application for such grant assistance in the
amount of $200,000.00, being a 100'7, grant, should be made;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS:
1. That an application be made to the Texas Department
of Housing and Community Affairs for a grant in the amount of
$200,000.00, being a 100% grant, for rehabilitation of
substandard units in compliance with the Texas Rental
Rehabilitation Program.
2. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager of the City of
Paris, Paris, Texas, be, and he is hereby designated
Certifying Representative and is hereby authorized and
directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute and
transmit the application for such grant.
3. That W. E. Anderson, Director of Finance of the
City of Paris, be, and he is hereby designated Financial
Officer for the Texas Rental Rehabilitation Program grant
project and shall approve all financial transactions.
4. That Joe McCollum, Director of Community
Development of the City of Paris, be, and he is hereby
designated Contact Person to execute and deliver all other
communications, instruments and documents necessary for the
completion of said project.
