1991-116-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at a Special Meeting on September 26, 1991, in
RESOLUTION NO. 91-116
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, did at
a Special Meeting on September 26, 1991, in Ordinance No.
91-047, authorize the resurfacing of tennis courts 1, 2 and
3, at Culbertson Park, and bids for such were received until
3:00 P.M., November 5, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for such resurfacing was made by
Dobbs Tennis Courts, Inc., P. O. Box 551569, Dallas, Texas
75355-1569, a copy of whose bid is attached hereto as Exhibit
A, and it should be awarded the bid for such equipment; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
that the bid of Dobbs Tennis Courts, Inc.,
conditions shown on Exhibit A attached
accepted and let; and,
THE CITY OF PARIS,
upon the terms and
hereto is hereby
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris a contract
for resurfacing tennis courts 1, 2 and 3 at Culbertson Park,
upon the terms and conditions shown in Exhibit A attached
hereto, with Dobbs Tennis Courts, Inc.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal
corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, George Fisher,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and DOBBS TENNIS
COURTS, INC., acting by and through its President, Danny
Dobbs, hereinafter called DOBBS do hereby contract and agree
as follows:
1. DOBBS agrees to resurface tennis courts 1, 2 and 3
at Culbertson Park in accordance with the specifications and
bid documents attached hereto as Exhibit A.
2. DOBBS agrees to resurface tennis courts 1, 2 and 3
at Culbertson Park for a total price of $12,750.00. Upon
completion of the removal of spaulded concrete, CITY will pay
DOBBS $4,500.00, with the remainder to be paid upon
completion and acceptance of the job.
3. It is agreed and understood by both parties that
said resurfacing cannot be completed until the temperature is
50 degrees or above with good drying conditions.
4. City has the right to unilaterally terminate this
agreement at any time due to poor quality of work or non-
performance.

TENNIS COURT RES'OlU'ACING BID
CULBERTSON PARK
PARIS, TEXAS
1. Remove all spaulded concrete.
2. After spaulded concrete is removed, waterblast entire surface
to remove all the previously covered surface.
3. Patch all spaulded areas with appropriate materials.
4. Level any bird-baths (law areas) over 1/8" to within USTC &
TBA Specs.
5. Clean and fill all cracks except expansion joints.
6. Remove all loose surface material.
7 . Thoroughly clean entire court surface.
8. Apply one coat of bonding material.
9 . Apply one coat of acrylic resurfacer (Sealer) mixed with sand
to obtain a uniform, textured surface.
10. Apply two coats of sand mixed green color.
11. Apply two coats of white acrylic line paint.
Successfull bidder will be responsible for removal of any debris
or materials lift over from completed job.
