SUBJECT: KENN MEESKE ADDITION FINAL PLAT

BACKGROUND: Kenn Meeske owns a 4.406 Acre tract in the City's extraterritorial
jurisdiction along Pine Mill Road, and is proposing to construct a Two -Family Dwelling (2F)
residential subdivision ultimately comprised of eight lots. The property is not zoned, as it is
outside of the city limits. A preliminary plat of the subdivision was approved by the Planning &
Zoning Commission in February 2017, and because preliminary plat approval expires after 12
months, the Commission re -approved the preliminary plat on March 2nd.
STATUS OF ISSUE: The owner has submitted a final plat of the proposed development
consisting of four lots. Water, sewer and the access road have been constructed in conformance
with the subdivision regulations. It appears that the plat complies with the City of Paris
subdivision regulations.
Staff s recommendation was to approve the final plat. The final plat was approved by the
Planning & Zoning Commission on March 2nd. Due to unforeseen circumstances, this plat was
approved by operation of law because it was not approved or denied by the municipal authority
within thirty days after the plat was filed (Texas Local Government Code Sections 212.009 &
212.0091).
RECOMMENDATION: Acknowledge approval of the final plat.
