1991-109-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, at a special meeting on September 26, 1991, in
RESOLUTION NO. 91-109
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, at a
spec ial meet ing on September 26, 1991, in Ord inance No.
91-047, authorize the furnishing and service of employee
uniforms for various city departments, and bids for such were
received until 3:00 o'clock P.M., Tuesday, October 8, 1991;
and,
WHEREAS, the best bid for the furnishing and service of
employee uniforms was made by Aratex Services, Inc., Hwy.
271, Rt. 1, Box 355-B, Paris, Texas 75460, and it should be
awarded such bid; and,
WHEREAS, the form of contract
servicing employee uniforms is attached
NOW, THEREFORE,
for furnishing and
hereto as Exhibit A;
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the Alternate Bid of Aratex Services, Inc., upon the
terms and conditions shown on the contract attached hereto as
Exhibit A, is hereby accepted and let conditioned upon said
uniforms meeting all of the terms and specifications included
in the bid documents; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed to execute on behalf of the City of Paris the
contract for furnishing and servicing employee uniforms for
var ious city depar tments, upon the terms and cond i t ions and
in the form shown in Exhibit A attached hereto, with Aratex
Services, Inc.

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal
corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, George Fisher,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and ARATEX SERVICES,
INC., by and through its District Manager, Jim Bowman,
Hwy, 271, Rt. 1, Box 355-B, Paris, Texas 75460, hereinafter
called ARATEX do hereby contract and agree as follows:
1. ARATEX will furnish and service used uniforms on a
weekly basis, replace lost or damaged garments, including
name plate and City emblem and preparation for new employees.
2. ARATEX wi 11 pickup and del i ver at the following
locations in the City or Paris: (1) Water Treatment Plant,
(2) Wastewater Plant, (3) Wise Field, (4) City Hall Annex,
(5) Water Billing Office. and (6) Department of Public Works,
said locations subject to change to best serve the employees
of CITY.
3. The term of this contract is for a per iod of two
(2) years beginning Nove~ber 1, 1991, and ending October 31,
1993. CITY shall reserve the right to terminate the contract
at any time due to non-performance or poor service by ARATEX.
However, CITY has the :: ight to exerc i se an opt ion for an
additional one (1) year upon the same terms and conditions,
wh ich year would begin ~ovember 1, 1993, and end on Oc tober
31, 1994.
EXHIBIT A
4. ARATEX will furnish monthly invoice for services
rendered in accordance with the "Invitation to Bid for
Furnishing and Servicing Employee Uniforms for Various City
Departments, Department of Public Works, September 1991",
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
5. ARATEX will furnish uniforms in accordance with the
bid specifications attached hereto as Exhibit A.
