1991-101-RES WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has furnished to the City Council at special session
RESOLUTION NO. 91-101
WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has
furnished to the City Council at special session convened on
the 30th day of August, 1991, the City Manager's proposed
budget as directed by Section 45 of the Charter; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager did file the proposed budget
with the City Clerk of the City of Paris the 30th day of
Augus t, 1991, in accordance wi th Vernon's Texas Codes
Annotated, Local Government Code, Section 102.005(a); and,
WHEREAS, the City Council did heretofore conduct several
budget workshops; and,
WHEREAS, the City Manager did present his amended budget
this 19th day of September, 1991; and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 50 of the Charter, a
public hearing must be held giving all interested persons an
opportunity to be heard for or against any item or the amount
of any item therein contained; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriate time for said public hearing is
found to be September 26, 1991, which date is at least 15
days after the date the proposed budget was filed with the
City Clerk in accordance with Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated,
Local Government Code, Section 102.006(b); NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS, that a public hearing is called for the 26th day of
September, 1991, at 6:00 P.M. in the City Council Chambers,
City Hall, for the purpose of hearing written and oral
comment from the citizens of the City of Paris concerning the
proposed amendments to the City Manager's proposed budget for
fiscal year 1991-92; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the City
of Paris publish notice of said public hearing in the Paris
News on the 20th day of September 1991, setting forth the
time and place of said public hearing, which public hearing
date is no sooner than the fifth (5th) day after said
publication date.
