1991-100-RES WHEREAS, Stewart F. Dodson has prepared and implemented a safety program entitled, "Think Child

WHEREAS, ~tewart F. Dodson has prepared and implemented
a safety program entitled, "Think Child Safety"; and,
WHEREAS, other cities and or?anizations have shown
interest in the "Think Child Safety' program, and the City
Council of the City of Paris is desirous of copyrighting said
program and sharing it with others; and,
WHEREAS, the promotion and presentation of the "Think
Child Safety" program outside the City of Paris does require
effort not normally considered to be a municipal function,
and therefore, it is appropriate that Stewart F. Dodson be
employed to, upon his own time, manage such program under the
terms and conditions included in the contract attached hereto
as Exhibit A; NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that the management contract with Stewart F. Dodson in the
form of Exhibit A attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby
approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that

"THINK CHILD SAFETY" MANAGEMENT CONTRACT

KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal
corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, George Fisher,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and Stewart F.
Dodson hereinafter called DODSON, do hereby contract and
agree as follows:
1. DODSON hereby gives, grants and conveys any and all
interest in and to the "Think Child Safety" program to the
CITY.
2. CITY agrees to hire and DODSON agrees to be hired
to manage the "Think Child Safety" program for the CITY.
Such management would be conducted by DODSON in such a manner
as not to interfere with his ordinary duties as a member of
the City of Paris' Emergency Medical Services Department.
3. CITY agrees to pay all cost of procuring trade mark
for "Think Child Safety".
4. CITY agrees to pay DODSON for management and
promotion of the "Think Child Safety" program throughout the
United States, 50% of the net profit from said program.
5. All expenditures for copyright, promoting and
operating the "Think Child Safety" program shall be approved,
jointly by the Ci ty Manager of the City of Paris and the
Director of Finance of the City of Paris. The Director of
Finance is designated the financial officer for said program
which shall be maintained as an enterprise fund of the City
of Paris.
