WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore, in Resolution No. 91-037, award the contract for
"CHLORINATION/DECHLORINATION FACILITIES WASTEWATER TREATMENT
PLANT Project No. 88-WSRB-02-91" to Heritage Constructors,
Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, the City Engineer, Earl Smith, acting as
project engineer of said project recommends the amendment of
said contract by Change Order No. One attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", which provides for a net increase in contract
price of $12,910.44 for a total of $707,560.44 for the
addition of more road to access the chlorination/dechlorina-
tion facilities, and such form should be approved, and the
Mayor should be authorized to execute the same; NOW,
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
that "CHLORINATION/DECHLORINATION FACILITIES WASTEWATER
TREATMENT PLANT Project No. 88-WSRB-02-91", contract is
hereby amended by Change Order No. One attached hereto as
Exhibit "A", providing for a net increase in contract price
of $12,910.44 for a total of $707,560.44 for the addition of
more road to access the chlorination/dechlorination
facilities, which is in all things approved; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of
Paris, George Fisher, be, and he is hereby authorized and
directed on behalf of the City of Paris to execute said
Change Order No. One.

Description
1 Do not raise the grit trough as originally $ 1,308.26
shown on p. 4 of 21. Instead, remove the
grit trough entirely, from its upper end
completely to lower end, including that part
over the sludge beds. Remove concrete
pedestals and pads. Cut grit trough into
manageable sections (+ 20') and stack as
directed on the plant-site. Dispose of
pedestals and pads in approved fill area
on-site. Do not adjust the cleanout as
called for in note *9, p. 3 of 21, and do
not install cast iron boot. In lieu thereof,
cut cleanout off 24" below finished grade,
and backfill excavation. No additional
sodding and no concrete repairs to sludge
drying beds after brackets are removed are
included. Increase contract time by one day.
Decrease
2. Delete the 3D" sluice gate shown at the outlet $ 1,008.27
end of the existing chlorine contact tank on
p. 3 of 21. In lieu thereof, excavate and
break out the top of this 27" pipe, at a
point + 6' north of the north wall of the
tank. -Plug the pipe with 1/2 C.Y. Class D
concrete and backfill the excavation. Do
not do this work until the new facilities
are operational. No additional seeding/
sodding is included in this item.
3. Add additional roadway along south edge of $ 8,468.00
screenings building as shown in the attached
three 8-1/2" x 11" drawings, including con-
crete valley dip. Fill material will not
exceed 150 C.Y. (loose) and no additional
seeding/sodding is included. Engineer may
field adjust centerline profile if required
to match fill quantity available.
4.
Add 2 clips and 3x3x1/4 angles at east end $
of C12 and 802 canopies per attached sketch.
C12 x 20 side channels to be continuous or
to have full moment connections at any joints
not supported over masonry wall.

'header modifications per the attached
