A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS,
ACCEPTING THE BID AND AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE 2019
TXCDBG DOWNTOWN SIDEWALK PROJECT, IN THE CITY OF PARIS TO
HIGHWAY 19 CONSTRUCTION, LLC, THE LOWEST RESPONSIBLE
BIDDER; AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH HIGHWAY 19 CONSTRUCTION, LLC; MAKING OTHER
FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND
DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore, advertise for bids for
furnishing plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and for performing all work required for
the Downtown Sidewalk Replacement Project in the City of Paris,, which bids were received
on November 7, 2019; and,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PARIS,TEXAS.
Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble of this resolution are hereby
in all things approved.
Section 2. That the bid of Highway 19 Construction, LLC, Paris, Texas, for the
2019 TXCDBG Downtown Sidewalk Project in the City of Paris, Texas is hereby accepted as
the lowest responsible bid which provides the best value to the City,, and that the Interim
City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, on behalf of the City
of Paris,, the Agreement with Highway 19 Construction,, LLC,, in an amount not to exceed.
$250,000.00.
Section 3. That this resolution shall be effective from and after the date of
passage.
