WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has
supported the upgrading of the data, data storage and
equipment useful to the City's Engineering Department's
delivery of engineering services to the City and its several
departments; and,
WHEREAS, the addition of a Geographic Information System
will permit these several departments to individually update
for the purposes of keeping current data useful to itself and
the other depar tments of the City, permi tt ing a coord inated
effort of the several departments; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
that the purchasing and installation
Information System is hereby approved,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the hardware to support a
Geographic Information System should be advertised for bids
to be received after due notice and thereafter returned to
City Council for letting, at 3:00 o'clock P.M. on Tuesday,
July 3, 1990, and should be presented to the City Council on
the 9th day of July, 1990, for the purpose of letting such
bid.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Staff receive
proposals and negotiate for engineering services to support
the installation of said Geographic Information System,
