1990-068-RES WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did heretofore pass and adopt Resolutions No, 89-133, on
RESOLUTION NO. 90-068
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did
heretofore pass and adopt Resolutions No, 89-133, on the 13th
day of November, 1989, and No, 90-013 on the 12th day of
February, 1990, which Resolutions should be amended by this
Resolut ion wh ich prov ides for method for cos t shar ing and
funding the cost of a physician and physician's assistant;
and,
WHEREAS, the County of Lamar and the City of Paris have
agreed to fund professional medical services being provided by
physician and physician's assistant in accordance with and in
the form of the Second Amended lnterlocal Agreement for
Professional Medical Services Cost Sharing attached hereto as
Exhibit A, which should in all things be approved; NOW
THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS,
That the Second Amended Interlocal Agreement for Professional
Medical Services Cost Sharing in the form of Exhibit A
attached hereto, be, and the same is hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
Eric S. Clifford, be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to
execute the Second Amended Interlocal Agreement for
Professional Medical Services Cost Sharing with the County of
Lamar,

INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR
PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL SERVICES
COST SHARING
STATE OF TEXAS ~
COUNTY OF LAMAR ~
This contract made and entered into this tbe 1st day of
November, 1989, by and between the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a
body politic, acting by and through its Mayor, Eric S. Clifford,
duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY; and the COUNTY OF
LA..'1AR, State of Texas, acting by and through its County Judge,
Deane A. Loughmiller, duly authorized, hereinafter called COUNTY;
hereby contract and agree as follows:
CITY and COUNTY agree to fund professional medical services
to be provided by an employed Physician as follows: COUNTY to
pay for 151'0 of the employment cost of the physician and any
related liability insurance cost and reserve for physician's
liability tail coverage, for up to six hours per week sick call
to be provided at the Lamar County Jail. The remaining 851'0 of
the employment cost of the Physician and any related liability
insurance cost and reserve for physician's liability tail
coverage, shall be paid one half by COUNTY and one half by CITY.
This contract shall remain in full force and effect until
amended or terminated by the CITY, or the COUNTY,

EXHIBIT A
In the event that COUNTY's demand for sick call services for
Physician and Physician's Assistant increases beyond the six
hours provided for, then COUNTY I S payment shall b'e 'increased to
reflect a percent equal to sick call hours desired by County and
attended by Physician's Assistant divided by forty, times the
employment cost of the Physician and Physician I s Assistant and
any related liability insurance cost and reserve for Physician's
liability tail coverage.
