1990-090-RES WHEREAS, The Lamar County Historical sponsoring a project entitled, Paris Mayors locate, copy, and RESOLUTION NO. 90-090 WHEREAS, The Lamar County Historical sponsoring a project entitled, Paris Mayors locate, copy, and frame for display in the Chambers photographs of all former Mayors of Paris; and, Society is Project, to City Council the City of WHEREAS, the society has requested there be an agreement between the City of Paris and the Lamar County Historical Society in the form of Exhibit A, attached hereto, establishing ownership of the photographs in order to assure the preservation of said photographs; and, WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the best interest of the citizens that the City of Paris execute said agreement for the protection of the photographs which reflect part of the history of our City; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, that the form of the Paris Mayors Project Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A, is in all things approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Manager, Michael E. Malone, be, and he is hereby authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of Paris with the Lamar County Historical Society. Passed and adopted this 15th ATTEST: ~~,.~\~!t'~) Mattie Cunningham, Cit C erk APPROVED AS -./ PARIS MAYORS PROJECT AGREEMENT STATE OF TEXAS ~ COUNTY OF LAMAR ~ KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT, the CITY OF PARIS, Paris, Texas, a municipal corporation, acting by and through its Manager, Michael E. Malone, duly authorized, hereinafter called CITY and the Lamar County Historical Society, hereinafter called SOCIETY, do hereby contract and agree as follows: 1. SOCIETY agrees to diligently seek photographs suitable for framing of all former mayors of the City of Paris. 2. CITY agrees that said photographs of mayors may be hung in the Council Chambers at the sole discretion of the CITY and in the event that CITY should ever deem that said photographs shall no longer be hung in the Council Chambers of the City of Paris, and in the event CITY and SOCIETY cannot agree upon an alternate site for such photographs to be displayed, then such photographs and frames in which they are contained shall be returned to SOCIETY.
